Our New Coleman Camping Chairs (There’s a Cooler in the Arm Rest!)

In previous years, whenever we had occasion to use camping chairs, we would just borrow an old set from my parents. They weren’t exactly the best chairs but at the same time Eden and I didn’t want to spend a ton of money on chairs that we would likely use a maximum of twice a year. We also agreed that if we ever did buy our own, we wanted them to be really good quality & durable while comfortable.

Funnily enough, this year my mom was banking that we would borrow her chairs again and not return them so that she could buy new ones haha! Unfortunately for her, we beat her to the punch and picked up 2 portable folding camping chairs from Coleman.

WHAT WE WERE LOOKING FOR IN OUR CAMPING CHAIRS:

(Keeping in mind that we would probably need to forgo some requirements in the process so we could stay within budget)

  • A chair back tall enough that I could comfortably lean my head back on
  • A sun shield & leg rest (after some research, we would be way above our budget if we splurged for these 2 items)
  • A book holder
  • A carry bag
  • Reliable brand, good quality and durable
  • Comfortable seating (for reference, Eden is 6’1″ and he generally needs a lot of space)

And after searching for a long time, we found the best bang for our buck!

COLEMAN PORTABLE CAMPING QUAD CHAIR WITH 4 CAN COOLER

Although there is no sun shield and leg rest, we’re VERY happy with our new Coleman Quad Chair with 4-can cooler! We picked these bad boys up from Amazon and at the time they had a sale on these chairs in blue. They also have black, gray and red.

Here’s what we love about our puchases:

  • It’s a giant comfortable chair (larger than normal portable camping chairs)
  • There’s a built in arm rest cooler that holds up to 4 cans
  • Mesh cup holder that keeps a fifth drink at hand
  • Storage pocket to keep books, mosquito repellent, flashlights
  • Adjustable arm rest heights
  • Heavy duty steel frame that supports up to 300 lbs
  • Carry bag included
  • We paid $39.99 for each chair (original $52.95 each)
