I usually stay pretty low key on any typical Monday evening. I like to wine down after a long day of work and clock in hours of sleep that I didn’t get over the weekend. Last Monday however was quite the contrary. My best friend and I visited The Shore Club for a light dinner but little did we know we were going to indulge in a feast.
The Shore Club is located in the heart of the financial district – inside the RBC Centre (155 Wellington West). The interior is curated by renowned designer Elaine Thorsell and is gorgeous the second you step foot into the restaurant. Tall ceilings, ocean liners along the restaurant and some stunning original art work.
Poinsettia Flute ($14.00)
- Grand Marnier, Cranberry Juice, Topped with Prosecco
- I loved this cocktail – if you fancy fruity cocktails, this is the one to order
Complimentary bread to start
Lobster of Bisque ($12.00)
- drizzled with brandy
- The Shore Club’s version of a lobster bisque is quite rich & strong – followed by a kick of brandy
Steak Tartare ($18.00)
- hand-chopped tenderloin
- The steak tartare was a nice and refreshing starter served with a regular crostini, lettuce and garlic crostini
Single Tier Seafood Tower ($55.00)
- Recommended for two people
- The Shore Club also offers the “Shore Club Seafood Tower” for $110 recommended for four people
- Lobster, king crab, snow crab claws, jumbo cocktail prawns, oysters, smoked salmon, scallop and halibut ceviche, seared tuna
- This seafood tower was pretty epic and I enjoyed every piece of the tower from the ceviche to the shrimp to the seared tuna. It’s a great shareable platter to order with friends.
Dover Sole Meuniere ($39.00)
- brown butter sauce and capers
Bone-in Rib Steak ($48.00)
- Our steak was cooked to a perfect rare just liked we asked for. The Bone in Rib steak was delicious – each bite was absolutely juicy & tender. Perfect for those looking for steak options in the financial district.
Tempura Battered Onion Rings ($10.00)
- Please note that we asked for smaller portions in order to sample more items
Mac and Cheese with Lobster ($27.00)
- This is probably one of the best mac and cheese I’ve ever tried – generous portions of lobster pieces all baked together with that crispy outer layer and a soft and cheesy mac inside.
Creamed Corn with Double Smoked Bacon ($12.00)
- Please note that we asked for smaller portions in order to sample more items
Grilled Marinated Wild Mushrooms ($16.00)
- Please note that we asked for smaller portions in order to sample more items
Baked Alaska ($11.00)
Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee ($11.00)
Special thanks to The Shore Club for having us – it was a very solid meal and everything was executed really well. I highly recommend the seafood tower, any of their steak options and also the lobster mac and cheese!
The Shore Club is a great place for business meetings and or any special occasions. They also have a cocktail bar for those looking to grab a quick drink after work.
