What I’ve Read Last Week:
Crazy in Love

Whether you’re a book worm or you’re in need of a little motivation to read again, you’ve come to the right place! I told myself at the start of the year that I want to make it a goal to read as many books as I can. And with my 0 to 100% personality, I’ve already purchased around 15 books for the year and I’m probably adding more to the shopping cart as we speak haha! I’m going to be sharing the book I’m currently reading the following week hence my new “What I’ve Read Last Week” series. I don’t have a particular order of what I’m going to read but I will try to spread the types of books I read.

Crazy in Love by Annie Darling

SYNOPSIS: Tattooed, pink-haired, Bettie Page lookalike Nina is addicted to bad boys. Like Heathcliff and Cathy, Nina firmly believes that true love only takes one form: wild, mad love, full of passion and fire and tempestuous arguments, and she won’t settle for anything less.

But years of swiping right has uncovered nothing but losers and flings, and Nina is no closer to finding her One True Love than she ever was. And when a man from her past walks into the shop Nina knows she has nothing to fear. The geekiest boy in her school has become a boring business analyst who’s welded to his iPad and with his navy blue suits and ginger hair, Noah has no chance of making her heart go pitter patter.

Which just shows how little Nina knows about bad boys, business analysts and her heart…

MY THOUGHTS: If you enjoy a simple and quick romantic read, this book is for you. I randomly saw this book out on display at Indigo and decided to pick it up. I didn’t read the first 2 books in the Lonely Hearts series but had no problem following the storyline. In fact, I didn’t even know this was a series until midway through the book when some subtle references were made from previous books but it had no affect on my read. Annie Darling made Nina’s character really relatable, fun and quirky. The first few chapters were a little slower for me, but once Nina and Noah started becoming closer, I was instantly hooked and pretty much finished the entire book in 1-2 days.
