Krazy Corean Fusion Bistro

It’s not very often you will find me in the Little Italy neighbourhood but last week my friend and I trekked over to Krazy Corean on a week night. Krazy Corean (Facebook: Krazy Corean Fusion Bistro) is a Korean fusion eatery and bar that recently opened up earlier this year. They serve great cocktails and offer a galore of Korean fusion snacks from Beef Tacos, Tuna-Schetta, Korean Bulgogi Nachos to Kim Chi Pizza! There’s 2 sections to this eatery – the back section consists of communal tables for larger parties while the front has a lot of smaller sized tables.

{Left} Seoul Mule ($8.00) – Soju, Lime, Ginger Beer
{Right} Bloody Jong ($8.00) – Korean Style Ceasar, Vodka, Korean Pepper Sauce, Cilantro

  • I actually really enjoyed the cocktails served at Krazy Corean. Super yummy and refreshing.

Complimentary Popcorn to Start:

Mixed Salad ($9.00)

  • Fresh sliced raw white fish, organic greens, cucumber, tobiko + Korean spicy sesame dressing

Sea Honey ($12.00)

  • Pan-Fried shrimp, scallop mussels, and vegetables + honey butter
  • The Sea Honey is one of my favourite dishes of the evening. I would say its a “stir-fry” type of dish without the noodles – I couldn’t stop eating this all night (and even brought home the left overs)

Wings ($8.00)

  • Korean-Style chicken wings +  sweet hot sauce, peanuts
  • I love wings made anyway but rarely try “korean style wings” because I have zero tolerance for spiciness but these wings had a really good kick to it. Super yummy!

Bul-Na ($10.00)

  • Korean-Bulgogi, veggies, jalapeno, cheddar on nacho chips
  • This fusion dish was highly recommended by our waitress! It was a satisfying indulgent – super cheesy. The only slight setback for this dish was that it needed a bit more sauce.

Tataki ($10.00)

  • Seared fresh salmon topped with creamy mushrooms + balsamic-soy glaze

Sam-Gyeop-Sal Ssam ($13.00)

  • Braised Pork Belly in soy reduction for 8 hours

Rock Shrimp ($13.00)

  • Spicy Salmon, tempura bits, avocado, cucumber topped with panko-shrimp and spicy sauce
  • Words cannot describe how crazy + large the sushi pieces are! Although the batter was a bit thicker but these pieces were pretty good!

Krazy Corean is the place to go to with a group of friends who are looking for a night of yummy cocktails and Korean Fusion foods. My friend and I really enjoyed our evening. We couldn’t help but notice that each dish served had very generous portions. We had to pack the Sea Honey, wings, Bulgogi Nachos and also the Rock Shrimp Sushi to take home! (Those were my favourite of the evening)
