Greg’s Ice Cream

Greg’s Ice Cream has finally opened its 2nd & newest location at Toronto’s Distillery District! So last month we trekked our way over to indulge in some sweet eats on a extremely hot sunny day! It took us quite some time to find the shop because it was a little bit tucked away behind another building – ended up walking in circles (lol)

I like the concept of Greg’s Ice cream. You get to see the “behind the scenes” – they make their ice cream in store =)

Menu is displayed on a chalkboard. You get to add toppings & condiments to your ice cream!

They have a lot of unique flavours such as : banana bread, green tea, roasted marshmallow, coffee toffee and classic flavours such as chocolate, vanilla and strawberry

They had quite a selection and was really looking forward to trying their roasted marshmallow ice cream. Heard many others rave about this flavour. Unfortunately,  they ran out that day so the indecisive me ended up testing a few other flavours!!

While most people may decide to grab their ice cream to – go, Greg’s shop does offer a few tables for customers to sit down and relax.

Mango – Half scoop ($2.86)

  • this was oh so refreshing on such a hot sunny day!
  • The ice cream was really sweet and fresh – its not gelato- you can really taste the difference

Overall, I really enjoyed my mango ice cream but also left disappointed because they didn’t have their roasted marshmallow ice cream (the whole reason why I went to visit). Hopefully they’ll have it when I drop by again =)
