Hong Kong Travels: Wildfire Steakhouse

During my trip in Hong Kong, one of our dinners involved a spontaneous and random visit to Stanley Park (赤柱). We didn’t think we’d be going only because it was raining a lot that evening plus it was almost sunset PLUS its not exactly “close”. But nevertheless, a bunch of us were pretty determined and made it in time to take group pictures around the beautiful waters while watching the sunset!

For dinner, my cousin suggested we check out Wildfire Steakhouse in this beautiful  Victorian-era building originally built in the present-day business district of Central in 1846 as officers’ quarters of the Murray Barracks (Wikipedia)

Can you spot someone doing some photoshoots in the bottom left from the above picture? 🙂

We arrived just in time during peak dinner hours – but we were seated pretty quickly since we were a pretty large group. Service was attentive and quick throughout the entire evening.

So all the items we ordered below were party of a set dinner for groups! In fact we ordered 2 set dinners to accommodate everyone’s preferences. These set dinners, I believe, do change weekly.

This is such a great place to have a romantic dinner or a family dinner? (lol) Most items we tried like the appetizer platter (addictive bite sized nibblers) and the entrees were done well and really memorable. My favourites were the angel hair pasta with the perfect amount of cream sauce without being too bland or too over sauced. the The desserts I was not so fond of – just because I found the cheese cake and sticky toffee pudding to be pretty ordinary compared to the other parts of the meal. Though it was still a fun experience to be dining at such a gorgeous venue @ Stanley Park!

A gorgeous photo of the night view I took while we were leaving Stanley Park!
